These are the terms for using soma.gravicity.ai and the Soma beta. They are written to be read. By using the site or installing the beta you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use them.
Who we are. Gravicity AI, an independent project of a sole proprietorship in Ontario, Canada (“Gravicity AI”, “we”). Soma and meetsoma are our names for the agent and its core.
1. What these terms cover
- The website at soma.gravicity.ai.
- The Soma beta: the program you install from
github.com/meetsoma/soma-beta. They cover how you may use it as a beta, not the software licence.
They do not cover somaverse.ai accounts or its hosted services. They get their own terms when they open. They also do not change the licence of any software you take from our repositories. Licence: to be published with meetsoma core 0.50. Until it is, read the LICENSE file in the repository you took the code from; where these terms and that file disagree about the software, the file wins.
2. Using the website
You may read it, link to it and quote short parts of it with a link back. Please do not:
- break it, overload it, or scan it for weaknesses outside our Security page rules;
- copy it wholesale or pass our content off as yours;
- use it to break the law or harm anyone.
The site’s text, images, logos and design belong to us or are used with permission. The names Soma, meetsoma and Gravicity AI and their logos are ours; this page gives you no right to use them as a brand.
3. The Soma beta
The beta is early software. It will have bugs, change without notice and stop working. Please read this part.
- It runs commands on your computer. Soma is an agent: with your approval, and sometimes without a prompt if you have allowed it, it reads and writes files and runs commands. You are responsible for what you let it do. Use it on work you can recover. Keep backups. Check what it plans before you approve a destructive step.
- It talks to a model provider you choose, with your key. That provider’s terms, price and privacy policy apply to you. We do not control the provider, see what you send it, or promise what comes back. A model can be wrong.
- You are responsible for your keys and your account with each provider, and for the cost of using them.
- Do not point it at something you may not touch. Only use it on files, systems and accounts you are allowed to use it on.
- No support promise. We try to help, but a beta has no service level.
4. No warranty
The site and the beta are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any promise that they will work, be accurate, be secure, or suit a purpose of yours, to the fullest extent the law allows.
5. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Gravicity AI and the people behind it are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost time from using the site or the beta. For any other claim, what we owe you is limited to the greater of CAD $100 and what you paid us.
Nothing here limits what the law does not let us limit.
6. Feedback
If you send us an idea, bug report or fix, we may use it without paying you or naming you. We will name you if you ask and we can. Do not send us anything you are not allowed to share. If you send code to a repository, the repository’s contribution terms apply.
7. Third parties
Soma and the site link to and rely on others: GitHub, Cloudflare, npm, the Pi runtime, model providers. We are not responsible for them. Their terms bind you in your use of them.
8. Changes and ending
We may change the site, the beta, or these terms. For a material change to the terms we will change the date and say so on the home page; if you keep using the beta after that, you accept it. We may stop offering the beta or remove your access to our services at any time. You may stop using it any time: uninstall it by deleting the install folder (~/.soma/agent by default). The .soma folders inside your own projects are your files; they stay until you delete them.
9. Law and disputes
The laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there govern these terms. A dispute goes to the courts of Ontario, in Ottawa.
10. The rest
If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays. Not enforcing a term is not giving it up. These terms and the pages they link are the whole agreement for the site and the beta. You may not hand your rights to someone else; we may.
